ASR Luxury supplies vehicles to music video, film, and brand-content productions across Los Angeles every week. Production rentals are a different category from retail rentals: COI coordination with your line producer, location-specific delivery, on-set hold time, and the flexibility to keep the vehicle on a hot set across a multi-day shoot.

If your treatment calls for an exotic, a vintage Rolls, a hero SUV, or a fleet of matching vehicles, our production desk has handled it.

How production rentals work with ASR Luxury

Production bookings move differently from a Friday-night chauffeur. Our production-rental workflow:

  • COI (certificate of insurance) coordinated with our underwriter for your line producer - same-day turnaround in most cases, with the agreed coverage limits, additional insureds, and waiver of subrogation as required by your production
  • Location delivery to your set, lot, or location anywhere in LA County — including overnight holds and locked-set parking
  • On-set chauffeur or self-drive — most productions prefer our chauffeur as a precision driver, especially for moving shots and reset windows
  • Multi-day rates with per-shoot-day pricing; weekends, holidays, and overnight holds priced separately
  • Vehicle prep — full detail before delivery, blacked-out plates available, talent-friendly interior prep on request

What we permit on productions

Standard exterior shooting, in-cabin photography, drone work above 50ft AGL, and reasonable practical effects (smoke, water spray) are routine. We do not permit:

  • Stunt driving, jumps, or any contact
  • Burnouts, donuts, or sustained high-rev work without specific written approval
  • Pyrotechnics or open-flame near the vehicle
  • Modifications, wraps, or paint without prior written approval — many wraps are reversible and approvable; we just need to scope it first
  • Talent driving without an approved on-file license check

For stunt and action work, ask about our stunt-specialist fleet — separate program with different insurance and prep requirements.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I get a certificate of insurance for my production?
Send your line producer's contact and the additional-insured details to our concierge along with your shoot dates and locations. Production COI requirements are coordinated with our underwriter; expect same-day turnaround in most cases. Tell us your required coverage limits and we'll confirm what can be arranged.
Can the talent drive the rental on camera?
Yes, with a pre-approved license check. Submit talent license details at least 48 hours before the shoot and we'll clear the talent on-file. For drive-by exterior shots, our precision-driver chauffeur is faster and cheaper than the talent-clearance step.
Can we wrap or modify the vehicle for the shoot?
Most reversible wraps and removable signage are approvable — we just need to see the spec and approve the wrap shop in advance. Permanent modifications (paint, body kits, lifted suspension) are generally not permitted on rental inventory. For builds you need to own the modifications, ask about our consignment program.
What's the day-rate for a production rental?
Production rentals are quoted per shoot. Multi-day shoots get a per-day discount; weekends, overnight holds, and out-of-town locations price separately. Send us your treatment, dates, and locations for an exact quote.
Do you handle period or vintage vehicles?
We carry select vintage Rolls-Royce, classic Mercedes, and a small period-correct fleet for vintage-era productions. Inventory is limited; book early. For more obscure period vehicles we have working relationships with specialty rental houses across LA.
Can the chauffeur appear on camera?
Yes — we have chauffeurs who do background and featured-extra work regularly. SAG-eligible drivers are available on request. Mention this in your booking and we'll match the right driver.
